North Cyprus airport transfers from Larnaca & Ercan

In one line

Two airports serve North Cyprus: Larnaca in the south and Ercan in the north. From Larnaca you cross the Green Line by road; from Ercan you are already on the northern side. This guide is the hub: it links every route we run to Kyrenia, Nicosia, Famagusta, İskele and Bafra, explains the crossing, and points you to the practical guides on cost, car hire and getting around. Wherever you land and wherever you are staying, start here.

Larnaca Airport arrivals, the starting point for most North Cyprus transfers
Most visitors land at Larnaca. From there it is one road, one crossing, and a private car to your door in the north.

There is a lot written about getting to North Cyprus, and most of it is scattered across a dozen pages or quietly about the south. This page pulls the whole picture together in one place, and links out to the detail where you need it.

Two airports, one island

The practical choice is almost always Larnaca (LCA) in the south, because that is where the direct flights from Europe, Russia and Israel land; you then cross the border by road, which we handle for you. Ercan (ECN) sits in the north, so there is no crossing, but flights route via Turkey. Our Larnaca vs Ercan guide weighs the two in full.

Every route, from either airport

We run private, door-to-door transfers to every main town and resort zone in the north. Each route has its own page with distances, the crossing point, the hotels it serves and a price from £100:

Reaching the resort and hotel zones

Most guests are heading for a specific hotel rather than a town centre, and the resort clusters sit a little apart from the towns. The Kyrenia coast (Çatalköy, Alsancak) holds most of the resort-and-casino hotels; the Bafra zone is a self-contained resort strip; and Long Beach in İskele is where the newer beach resorts and residences are. We are not the agent of any hotel; we simply drive you to its door, whichever one it is.

The border crossing, handled

From Larnaca every route crosses the Green Line once, and it is a routine, few-minute stop rather than something to worry about. We take care of it in one vehicle, so you never change cars at the border. Our border-crossing guide explains exactly what happens and why the northern entry route matters.

One vehicle, door to door

Tell us the airport and the hotel. We'll do the rest.

We meet you at arrivals with your name, handle the crossing, and drive you to your hotel anywhere in the north. Flight tracked, so a delay changes nothing. No meter, no roadside negotiation, no second vehicle after the border.

Getting around once you land

There is no Uber or Bolt in the north, buses are built for residents, and taxis are unmetered, so most visitors either pre-book transfers or hire a car. Our guide on getting around without a car covers what actually exists, and the car-rental guide explains the insurance catch at the crossing before you book one in the south.

What a transfer costs

A private transfer starts from £100 with no hidden fees, and the final figure depends on the airport, your destination and the number of passengers. We quote per journey rather than posting one fixed price, for the honest reason set out in what affects the cost of a transfer.

Flying into Ercan?

If your flight routes through Turkey into Ercan, you skip the crossing entirely and the drive to Kyrenia is short. Our sister service ercan-transfer.com focuses on Ercan arrivals, and our own Ercan → Kyrenia route covers it here too.

Distances and crossing details are drawn from the sources below; the crossing procedure follows official EU and TRNC guidance. Prices are quoted per journey and confirmed on booking.

Frequently asked

Which airport should I use for North Cyprus?

For most visitors, Larnaca in the south is the practical choice, because it takes direct flights from Europe, Russia and Israel; you then cross the border by road, which we handle. Ercan in the north avoids the crossing but is reached via Turkey. Our Larnaca vs Ercan guide compares them in full.

Do you cover all towns in North Cyprus?

Yes. We run private transfers to Kyrenia, Nicosia, Famagusta, İskele (Long Beach) and the Bafra resort zone, from both Larnaca and Ercan. Each route has its own page, and if your hotel is off the main routes we still drive you to the door.

Is the border crossing complicated?

No. From Larnaca every route crosses the Green Line once; it is a routine, few-minute passport stop and we handle it in one vehicle, so you never change cars. Our border-crossing guide explains exactly what happens.

How much does a transfer cost?

From £100, with no hidden fees. The exact figure depends on the airport, your destination in the north and the number of passengers, so we quote per journey. Send us your flight and hotel for a price.

Can I get around North Cyprus without a car?

You can, but it is harder than in the south: there is no Uber or Bolt, buses are sparse and taxis are unmetered. Most visitors pre-book transfers or hire a car; our getting-around and car-rental guides cover both.

Wherever you land, we'll get you there.

Tell us your airport, your hotel and how many of you there are. We'll be at arrivals with your name, cross the border in one vehicle, and take you to the door. From £100, no hidden fees.
